Is it a traditional surf school?
Not really.
Social Surf Experience offers a more human and personalised approach to surfing. Every session is built around your level, your goals, your needs and the ocean conditions..
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced surfer, coming alone, with family or as a group, the aim is always the same: to help you progress at your own pace in a reassuring and adapted environment.
Do I need to know how to swim?
A minimum level of confidence in the water is required.
Sessions take place in the ocean in a supervised environment and are adapted to the conditions of the day. If you have a particular fear or apprehension around water, tell us beforehand so we can adapt the experience accordingly.
How long does a surf session last?
A session usually lasts around 2 hours, including the welcome, preparation, time in the water and debrief.
The actual surfing time is generally around 90 minutes, depending on the conditions and the format of the session.
We make sure there’s enough time to learn, progress and genuinely enjoy the experience.
How many people are in each group?
Two formats are available:
Open group: up to 8 people maximum, allowing for a friendly group dynamic while maintaining personalised coaching.
Private session: a time slot reserved exclusively for your family, group of friends or specific project.
In every case, the format is adapted to the group’s level and needs.
Can we come as a family?
Yes.
Sessions can be adapted to families, either in an open group or as a private session.
Coaching takes each person’s level, pace and confidence into account, so everyone can enjoy the experience in the best possible conditions.
Is it suitable for seniors or people who are apprehensive about the water?
Yes, depending on each person’s situation and abilities.
The approach can be very progressive and may begin with a gentler introduction to the ocean, including water walking, before gradually moving towards surfing.
Every session is adapted to the person’s level, physical abilities and relationship with the water, with particular attention to confidence, listening and safety..
What is Surf Therapy?
Surf Therapy is a progressive ocean-based approach focused on movement, confidence and well-being.
It can suit people looking to return to physical activity gradually, build confidence around water, reconnect with movement or benefit from a more personalised approach.
Mike is trained in Surf Santé and adaptive surfing, and every session is built around the person’s needs and abilities.
Do you organise surf team building and corporate retreats?
Yes.
We create experiences for companies, schools, associations and groups, from a single surf session to a more complete programme with activities and local partners.
Every project is adapted to the number of participants, the group’s goals and the conditions.
